Job Description

We are seeking a proactive, self-directed, and highly organized individual comfortable working in a fast-paced environment to oversee the smooth operation of the corporate office and to provide direct support to senior-level executives. Bacon is a dynamic, innovative tech start-up company on a mission to make temp work professional and respectable and utilizes a gig-work app to facilitate more efficient and flexible matching of local employer needs with temp worker availability and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the corporate office’s day-to day operations, and support remote office as needed
  • Develop office procedures and administrative processes as needed
  • Coordinate with the executive leadership team on key initiatives, special projects, and regular meetings
  • Support efforts with the strategy, execution, and optimization of Bacon’s marketing campaigns that encourage app downloads, increase user activity, and promote our service to businesses
  • Assist with preparation of documents such as reports, instructional items, presentation slide decks, memos, materials, emails, and other correspondence
  • Attend and document minutes of board meetings and other leadership meetings
  • Oversee executive calendars and scheduling
  • Assist with travel arrangements for leadership team members
  • Perform routine clerical tasks for leadership team as needed
  • Support hiring and on-boarding processes for new employees as needed
  • Support planning and execution of company and regional parties, events, team-building, and other functions
  • Develop a strategy for community outreach events among our worker/client base
  • Plan and lead the execution of an annual gig worker convention including determining a model for revenue generation through the event
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of undergraduate college education or an Associate’s degree 
  • Minimum 1 year work experience in an office environment
  • General proficiency with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides and/or Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) 
  • Professional interpersonal skills and confidence interacting with executives and board members and all levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle and prioritize a variety of assignments and multiple deadlines
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Enthusiastic, warm, and welcoming
  • Coachable and willing to learn
  • Willingness to support the team and the whole organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ year office administrative experience or in a similar role
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides and/or Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and familiarity with or comfortable learning to use Notion and Slack
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time-management skills 
  • Ability to start something from scratch and see it through to completion
  • Self-starter and takes initiative
  • Ability to work independently, within a team, and able to organize and lead a group to execute a project or event
  • An understanding of event planning or experience design
  • Solid observational skills and a willingness to share ideas and concerns with leaders
